2012 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally at NightSouth Dakota Motorcycle Accident Lawyer; If you have never been to a motorcycle rally or event, then you don’t know what you are missing. The most popular and attended motorcycle rally in the world is Motorcycle Bike Week at Sturgis, and if you are looking for non-stop partying action live music, bad ass custom Harley’s and sexy women then this the motorcycle event for you!
The history behind the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is rich with 74 years of hard work, ingenuity, and the drive to create a one of a kind experience for everyone who attends and if it wasn’t for Clarence “Pappy” Hoel and the Jackpine Gypsies Motorcycle club the first Sturgis Motorcycle Rally (Called the Black Hills Classic the first year) would  have never happened in 1938. The first Sturgis rally was sparse in contrast to recent Sturgis Rallys, with only roughly 200 people in attendance who watched motorcycle stunts and racing.
The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally has been held every year except in 1942 when Gasoline rationing was in effect during World War II.
As the years rolled by the popularity of Sturgis Bike Week grew and became a full time business opportunity for promoters and in true biker fashion the rally blossomed into a full blown party with so much to see and do that to date would be impossible for one person to see and do everything that the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally has to offer.
2012 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally at Night at the Buffalo Chip Campground
They say there is always a “real” party happening within any party, and the same is true of Sturgis; there is a bevy of cool bars, live music an non-stop action, but the best party anywhere is happening at the Buffalo Chip Campground. The got it all at “The Chip”, you want live music from the top national bands? they got it. Plenty of great food, cheap drinks? they got that. what about sexy women, load custom Harley’s, hot party action, the coolest motorcycle accessories vendors so you can get  a cool leather jacket or custom parts for your Harley, oh yeah, don’t forget a spot to pitch a tent or hook up the RV? HELL YES the Buffalo Chip has that too and much much more!
What started as a bonfire campground for bikers attending the Sturgis Rally in the early 1980’s, has evolved into something of a small city of a motorcyclists converging on a non-stop party that is centered around the Chips amphitheater at night, and the CrossRoads bar during the day. Buffalo Chip owner Rod Woodruff is a hands on kind of guy who runs the Chip like no other businessman could ever conceive. I had the chance to meet Rod during the 2010 Sturgis Rally and he was genuinely interested in my experience at the Buffalo Chip, and not because I was wearing a “Press Pass.”
In a 2010 interview Rod was candid on what drives him and his full time crew at the Buffalo Chip, “The whole thing isn’t about us, it’s about our guests,” he said. “We are genuinely in the hospitality industry.” All you have to do is step into the 560 acre party zone and you will see for yourself, and to make it even better you don’t even need a campground or concert pass to get into the Buffalo Chip. To make the Chip more accessible to everyone this year marked the grand opening of the CrossRoads pavilion, a 17,000 square foot entertainment area located at the main entrance with bars, live music, vendor exhibits and more.
it is true that the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is like no other event of its kind and the same is true of the Buffalo Chip, with the best party anywhere you will be blown away, if you didn’t make it this year now is the perfect time to get your plans in order for the 75th Sturgis Rally in 2013. Gossip at the Chip has also confirmed that ZZ Top and Toby Keith are already booked for the 2013 Sturgis party at the Buffalo Chip Campground.
