Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys®: One-armed Man Set to Graduate from Barber School.

In March, Chris Bunn will graduate from barber school. This might be a proud milestone in any young man’s life, but for Chris Bunn this is an extraordinary milestone because Chris has only one arm. Bunn, 27, lost his left arm in a motorcycle accident that left him in a coma.
When Chris Bunn fully emerged from a coma three and a half weeks later, he had to make the decision to amputate his mangled and useless left arm. He was also told that the force of the motorcycle accident had caused severe brain and spinal cord injuries that would require him to re-learn everything necessary for everyday living, including walking.

Bunn Works toward State Barber Certification after motorcycle accident.

Chris Bunn completed physical rehab weeks ahead of schedule and walked out of the hospital on his own, not sure of what he would now do with the rest of his life. “I didn’t know if I was going to have to live on disability for the rest of my life,” he said. He had tried surveying and welding in his search for a new career when a casual conversation with his barber led him to Bailey’s Barber College. It was close to Thanksgiving 2011 when Chris walked in to the small shop and met owners, Roger and Jennifer Bailey.
While modifications had to be made to some of his equipment to help turn a two-handed job into one-handed work, Bunn has risen to every challenge and has adapted to every aspect of his new life. Chris and his fiancée are expecting their first baby and he still drives a motorcycle,  a three-wheeled one. He even has a job lined up.
Chris Bunn’s mentors are confident that he will pass his certification test next month and if Chris has any doubts, he’s not showing them.
Ride On Chris and best of luck with your future!
