Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys®; BAM Benefit Card
I am always looking for a reason to get on my old Pan Head and get in the wind, so when a few of my friends decided to make a run to Tulare, California to visit with one of our mutual friends I jumped at the chance to make the run with them.
It was a smooth ride up highway 99; we left at 8 pm to avoid the heavy Los Angeles traffic on I5 and the 3 hour ride zoomed by and in no time we arrived at our friend’s house. We had some juicy barbecue steaks and beer while we caught up with our old friend and by 1am we were getting back on the road and heading for home.
About 20 miles outside of Bakersfield we came upon a fellow motorcyclists who had broke down, we pulled over to see if we could help and soon discovered he had some ignition problem as his bike, a new Harley just died on him. It seems that our new friend, Dave was on a run from Sacramento to Los Angeles and his bike just died on him and wouldn’t start.
After doing all we could to get the Harley up and running again, I pulled out my BAM card and made a call for help. The staff at BAM found a volunteer to bring motorcycle trailer to our location in under 30 minutes and our new friend Dave was blown away. I gave Dave the number to BAM so he could get his own card and we waited while the trailer made it to our location.
It is times like this that my BAM card helped turn a bad situation into a not so bad situation, it is pain in the butt being stuck in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night, but being able to reach out to the people at BAM for assistance saved the day for a new found friend.
