Motorcycle enthusiasts around the country participate in a variety of fundraisers to better others in their community. In Dania Beach, Florida, however, it seems caring for the community means caring for animals too! Proceeds from the fifth annual Dania Beach Vintage Motorcycle Show are going to benefit Animal Aid, Inc.
As suggested by the name, the Vintage Motorcycle Show in Florida highlights bikes like those you may remember from vintage movies—the 1932 Brough Superior or 1951 Triumph Thunderbird, for example. Hosted by the Sunshine Chapter of The Antique Motorcycle Club of America, this year’s event will be held on January 29th from 10am to 4pm at Frost Park. There will be vendors, food, a vintage bike show, music and a swap meet for motorcycle parts. Phil Peterson’s Precision skill team will also be performing two shows during the course of the day. During the event, 80 plaques will be awarded for categories such as most unique, oldest, best restored, and best in show.
If your love for bikes is only matched by your love for pets, this could be a must-attend event for you. Animal Aid Inc, a no-kill animal rescue shelter and adoption center, will have dogs available for adoption. Dogs currently available for adoption at the shelter range from Shih Tzu dogs to Labrador Retrievers. If you can’t wait until late January to adopt, you can call the shelter now at 561-393-1463.
