The Legendary Sturgis Buffalo Chip

BAM at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys®: As if all the amazing concerts, incredible food, and awesome motorcycle rides weren’t enough, the Sturgis Buffalo Chip Campground has some pretty fun things to do during your stay. Motorcyclists who attend the Sturgis Rally this year will be able to ride the zip line, participate in the gun range, or sing some fun karaoke. This is all part of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally experience and part of the fun of staying at the legendary Buffalo Chip Campground.
Zip the Chip Zip Line
The Sturgis Buffalo Chip Campground is constantly finding new and exciting ways to entertain its guests and the zipline is a perfect example of this. The zipline at the Buffalo Chip is the longest zip line in the State of South Dakota and is back again for the 2012 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Motorcyclists seeking a thrill are sure to get it as they zip 70 feet above the Buffalo Chip Campground at 30 miles an hour. This continues for over 800 feet and motorcyclists can zip above the crowds and legendary performers as they rock the campground. This favorite exhilarating experiences is one you won’t want to miss, so pick up your tickets for the ride now!
Guns of Freedom – A Shooting Arcade for Grown-ups

For a different thrill, motorcyclists who are staying at the Buffalo Chip can enter the machine gun shooting range, the Guns of Freedom, for their chance to shoot real ammunition from automatic weapons. In addition, you can get the training you need to obtain a concealed gun permit! This machine gun shoot allows motorcyclists a chance to fire exotic firearms at stationary and exploding targets. You can take your turn shooting 1920’s gangster weapons or try your hand at the real weapons the military and Special Forces shoot. No matter what type of gun you choose to fire, you are sure to feel the thrill and exhilaration that makes this one of the rally’s most popular events.
Karaoke at the Chip
When you are tired of the thrill seeking, adrenaline rushing events, you can relax and enjoy some fun karaoke at the Chip every day during the Motorcycle Rally. Come sing your heart out and have some fun during the rally. You can participate with friends, try your hand at a solo, or just enjoy the other performers as you unwind from the day.
The New Crossroads
A new addition to the ‘Chip’ this year is the Crossroads and the jewel and center piece of the new addition is the Sturgis Rider Cafe. The Crossroads gives rally attendees, not staying at the Legendary Buffalo Chip, an opportunity to hang-out in a free access area at the Sturgis campground where visitors will be able to visit friends and vendors, enjoy food, drinks, and music. If you have never been to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip Campground, this is your opportunity to see why it is truly legendary!
The Sturgis Buffalo Chip also hosts two major rides during the rally. The Legends Ride which takes place Monday, August 6, 2012 and the Biker Belle’s Ride that takes place on Wednesday, August 8th.
