Chris and I at the Legendary Buffalo Chip, Sturgis SD

Los Angeles, California: I have been working for Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys® for over three years now and again and again I am touched by the kindness of those in the motorcycle community. Three years ago I was at the Rock Store, a famous hot spot for motorcyclists in the Los Angeles, California area and I had the opportunity to meet Chris and Jennifer Calaprice.
Chris Calaprice should be a dead man.
Chris is a walking miracle and Chris is on a mission. Chris, having survived Pancreatic Cancer twice, Melanoma once, countless drug experiments and regimens for 7 years, Chris was fed up with hearing that pancreatic cancer is a death sentence. Chris woke up one morning and told his wife Jennifer (Co-founder and Director) that they had to do something – something big.
Road 2 A Cure was born.
Chris decided he was going to ride across America on his motorcycle and raise Pancreatic Cancer awareness. The Road 2 A Cure National tour was planned. They stuffed everything in a big ‘ole RV that Jennifer would drive while Chris braved the elements and risked his health and life to ride his Victory motorcycle to every corner of the U.S. to make a difference. He endured chemo treatments every 8 weeks then got back on the road for hundreds and hundreds of miles each day to meet with federal legislators, Congress, doctors, researchers, medical centers, survivors and families who have lost loved ones to pancreatic cancer.
This summer I was working with Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys® and BAM, Free Breakdown and Legal Assistance for Motorcyclists, at the Legendary Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, South Dakota and had the pleasure of seeing Chris and Jennifer again. I even got to ride with Chris in the famous Legends Ride. A charity event put on by the Buffalo Chip that benefits local charities in Sturgis.
During the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Jennifer and Chris met the owners of K & G Cycles.
“We were checking in with Jen to get a loaner bike graciously supplied by Victory who also supports Road 2 Cure,” explained Kyle Marakas, Owner/Partner of K and G. “Jen was explaining Chris’ challenges and what the charity was all about. George just told her to stop doing the loaner paperwork and explain Road2aCure in detail. We immediately became excited about ways in which K and G could help. It didn’t take long before we realized we had made some great new friends and had found a way to make a difference.”
K & G Cycles have officially announced their sponsorship of  A Road 2 A Cure!
