Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys®: Indian Motorcycles to Set to Add Some Spice to the IMS in Minneapolis

How fitting it is that the iconic Indian Motorcycle brand will be re-emerging and taking center stage in its new home state of Minnesota at the International Motorcycle Show show in Minneapolis. The historic American brand recently announced its decision to grab the opportunity to take the spotlight by showing off some vintage models and a new 2013 bike for the first time in Minneapolis over the weekend of January 11th to 13th.
Supporting the decision is the new “Indian Motorcycle Exhibit” which will support the showcasing of many vintage Indian bikes and replicas along with new for 2013 Indian models. Examples of what will be on display are a 1942 Indian Model 741B Army model on loan from the national motorcycle museum. And, a bike with its own celebrity twist, the vintage 1935 Indian Chief that was first found on the popular program “American Pickers”. It was reacquired by Indian’s parent company Polaris shortly after the find was made on the reality TV show. The coup de grace is a fantastically restored Floyd Emde Indian “Big Base” Scout; the one that dominated the 1948 Daytona 200. Race fans and motorcycle enthusiasts alike will be ecstatic to hear this iconic engine fire up multiple times over the weekend.
The “Indian Motorcycle Experience” is designed to take people through the entire history of one of America’s most iconic motorcycle brands. Show patrons will be taken through time witnessing Indian’s rise from humble beginnings in 1901 to what it is today—and what’s in store for tomorrow. Perhaps the best part about this though, is the fact that Indian will be unveiling an all new bike for 2013: the Indian Chief Vintage Final Edition. “Motorcycle enthusiasts around the world have been eagerly anticipating our plans for the new, completely redesigned Indian Motorcycle coming later this year. We’re delighted to share our progress and vision of the Polaris era with our hometown fans and members of the press,” said Polaris Vice President of Motorcycles, Steve Menneto. Yes, it is an exciting time in the motorcycle biz, and with the re-emergence of Indian, it will only get better.
Along with Indian’s announcement there will be plenty of other attractions at the show. Fashion shows, safe riding seminars, kids’ adventure zones to name just a few of the many activities to keep you entertained. Check it out, get to the show! Jan 11th to the 13th, in Minneapolis, Minnesota – this is one show you’re not going to want to miss! The return of Indian Motorcycles!
