101 Critical Days of Summer is a term used by the Air Force when talking about the days between Memorial Day and Labor Day. During this time there is a large spike in the number of accidents that occur due to people having fun and paying less attention to common hazards including an increase in alcohol related accidents and motorcycle accidents.
Monday May 10th at 11:00 AM the Los Angeles AFB, El Segundo, CA, will be hosting 101 Critical Days of Summer Campaign Motorcycle Awareness Day. This event will be held in the Commissary parking lot between BX/Commissary.
This event is to promote safety for the 101 Critical Days of Summer, continue the promotion of motorcycle safety for the USAF Military and promote motorcycle awareness to the general base population.
There will be a lot going on including free motorcycle safety inspections by local motorcycle vendors, a special experts panel to discuss safety issues, a stunt show and a custom Harley Davidson showcase and a custom sport bike showcase.
