Motorcycle Accident Lawyers CaliforniaCalifornia Motorcycle Accident Lawyers; The California biker community has a long history of giving to others through motorcycle charity runs, rides, rallies, and other events. Big-hearted motorcyclists frequently join together to raise money to help sick children, veterans, abused animals, veterans…the list is endless.

Now a biker’s most prized possession is being used to raise money for a worthy cause. CBS8 in San Diego reports that a motorcycle signed by President Obama, Vice President Biden, and national security advisor James Jones will be auctioned off for charity in Las Vegas on September 23-25. The motorcycle, donated by James Jones’ son Jim, was custom built by Hardcore Choppers. The motorcycle auction proceeds will be donated to the Fisher House Foundation. This non-for profit foundation donates housing near VA military hospitals around the country so military family members can remain close by when a loved one is in a military hospital.

There are four California Fisher House locations. They are located in San Diego, Palo Alto, Travis AFB, and Los Angeles. Just last May, California motorcyclists held the 2nd Annual Tardi Mardi Gras Poker Run in Northern California to benefit the Fisher House in Travis AFB. This charity bike run was organized through an online program called “Team Fisher House” which allows motorcyclists, runners, sports teams, and other groups to organize fundraising events to raise money for the foundation.

As one friend of the Team Fisher House Facebook page said, “Motorcycle riders make great philanthropists!

At BAM, Free Breakdown and Legal Assistance for Motorcyclists, we wholeheartedly agree with this statement.
