Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys®: Myrtle Beach Bike Week Kicks Off This Weekend.
Encompassing all of the Carolinas, Myrtle Beach Bike Week has become the largest rally in the Carolinas. It happens in no one specific area, or place, but showcases the best that North Carolina and South Carolina have to offer.
Welcoming all age groups and skill levels, Myrtle Beach Bike Week includes a bundle of crowd pleasing events including musical attractions, poker tours, rides and more. The event, beginning on May 10th and finishing up on the 19th is filled with things to do—poker tours, daycation rides along the gorgeous Carolina coast, meeting new friends while reacquainting with old ones, enjoying some great meals and basking in the warm weather.
The Poker Run Tours offer something for the biker who loves to ride and play cards! Both Carolinas will run Poker Run Tours between May 13th and 17th. What is so intriguing about a poker tour is that the participants get a chance to win prizes while enjoying a great ride. The riders set out over a designated route and stop at predetermined spots. At each of these stops, the rider selects a playing card and once the ride is complete, the biker with the best poker hand, wins the designated prize.
Back again this year and certainly one of the main attractions at the spring rally is “The Ride East Coast”. This yearlong loyalty event asks participants to purchase a “passport”—a booklet that even resembles a real passport. The booklet identifies the biker with a numbered ID. You use this identification number to collect points which are recorded on each page of the booklet, just like a passport. The biker with the most points gathered over the year is rewarded with a yet to be announced grand prize at the Ride Closing Party! The booklet also includes special deals and discounts for the rider. Collecting points is easy—here’s how:
- Present your membership card at participating events and locations and have it stamped with the points awarded. The more points earned, the better the chance for the grand prize.
- Buddy Points are awarded for anyone who recommends someone to join up for “The Ride”. All they have to do is check off the recommended box on the application with your ID.
The Grand Prize is 7 Day 6 Night – Ocean Front or Channel House in North Myrtle Beach and there is a $1000 prize up for grabs as well as a number of other great cash and prizes from event sponsors.
There is just so much to do and see making the Myrtle Beach Bike Week a must attend event. If you haven’t been, check it out, you sure to have a great time!
