OHIO 2011 – Has summer arrived yet? Are you tired of asking that question? I am. We have yet to see any consistent summer weather and June is just around the corner and with it comes great motorcycle rallies. The motorcycle events calendar in OHIO kicks off in June with the tenth anniversary of OHIO Bike Week.
Ohio Bike Week began as the North Coast Thunder Rally & Ohio State H.O.G. Rally over ten years ago. The events continued to grow so in 2006 the North Coast Thunder Rally was renamed Ohio Bike Week which is now a ten day premier bike event that offers many great activities and top entertainment.
Kickin off Bike Week is the Rally on the Rock at Put-in-Bay, OH. The only OHIO motorcycle rally on an island has it all including Poker Runs, “Biker Idol”, a Biker Build-Off, Bike Review, the Traveling Wall, Tattoo Contest, Burn-Out Pit, Hog Roast, Scavenger Hunt and more. Put In Bay is a quaint town with restaurants, kayaking, jet skiing, caves, wineries, golfing, championship miniature golf, museums, historic homes, para-sailing, helicopter tours, fishing charters, live entertainment, electric go karts, an arcade, etc.
How many motorcycles can fit on one island? More than 850 bikes made the trip to Put in Bay in 2010!
