Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys® Texas – 5th Annual Coppell Police Motorcycle Competition
COPS is a charitable foundation that assists families of police officers killed in the line of duty. Over the last 5 years, the event and COPS has raised approximately $46, 000 with the proceeds supporting counseling for the family, funding for kids’ camps and pretty much anything else that can help families rebuild their lives after losing a loved one.
COPS is also involved in providing education and training to law enforcement agencies on victimization issues as well as encouraging the public to better understand the need to support the police profession and their families when tragedies occur.
The sixty riders expected to enroll will compete in a variety of skill testing drills, all aimed at entertaining the crowds as well as allowing the competitors a chance to showcase their abilities to determine a winner. This year’s 3 daylong event is expected to draw approximately 5,000 spectators with organizers hoping to raise $25, 000. Riders and fans are able to raise funds by securing event sponsors, donating silent auction items or purchasing raffle tickets.
Along with the fun at the Rodeo there is a Custom Bike Show. In its second year at the Coppell Police Motorcycle Competition, entrants can register their machines for a chance to win “Best in Show”, “Most Unique” or “Best Cruiser”. Trophies will be awarded in each class but the real fun for everyone is being able to have their bikes on display so they can show off a little of the hard work that goes into creating a custom bike.
All in all the event should be entertaining for everyone and the proceeds are all going to an extremely worthy cause!
Ride Safe this weekend!
