Legends Ride 2012 raises over $48 000.00 for charity. There is nothing like making the run to Sturgis, but when you’re also riding for a good cause the ride is only sweeter, and I guess that goes for all of the motorcyclists who participated in the 2012 Legends Ride. Created to raise significant funds for two worthy Black Hills charities, including the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame and Black Hills Special Olympics, the Legends Ride has raised more than $200,000 in just four short years and has become the premier charity-celebrity event in motorcycling.
The Sturgis Buffalo Chip Legends Ride, which kicked off the Sturgis Rally on a ride from Historic Deadwood to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip Campground. Now in its fifth year, the Legends Ride has raised $204,920 for charity; $48,620.00 came in from this years ride. This year’s Legends Ride beneficiaries are the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame and the Black Hills Special Olympics.
It is a beautify thing to see bikers from all over the world joining in to help such worthy causes, and the real beauty is that some of the money raised will be used to ensure the rich history of the Black Hills Motorcycle Classic is preserved by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame, and lets not forget that the Legend Ride is also supporting the Black Hills Special Olympics.
Making the run to Sturgis is an exciting ride for every motorcyclist, participating in the Legends Ride is the icing on an already incredible cake and you ensure that these worthy charities continue to prosper.
