Russ Brown Motorcycle Lawyers: The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

I am getting ready to head to Sturgis, South Dakota for the legendary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and heard some sad news. There was a shooting at the “Too Broke For Sturgis Rally” in Mormon Lake Arizona.
Shooting at the Too Broke For Sturgis Rally Leaves Investigators with more Questions than Answers
According to Arizona Central, three people were found dead and one critically injured at a motorcycle rally at Mormon Lake in northern Arizona. The victims were participating in an annual motorcycle rally called “Too Broke For Sturgis” when the shooting occurred. Detectives are investigating the possibility of a murder-suicide because one of the deceased motorcyclists was found separated from the others with a single gunshot wound and a handgun close to his hand. According to the reports, the other 3 victims were shot multiple times as they sat in camp chairs in front of their trailer. While 2 of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, one of the female victims was flown to a nearby medical center in critical condition.
The accident/murder scene was said to have been very chaotic, according to one biker who was a mere 200 feet from the grizzly event. Ken Daniels was enjoying the live music in a generally convivial atmosphere when he heard the gunshots, yet it too 5-15 minutes before he became aware that someone had actually been shot. He tried to administer CPR to one of the victims, but he was unable to save her.
Motorcycle rallies are usually very peaceful and the large majority of motorcyclists co-exist without any altercations. Yet alcohol and drugs can complicate seemingly normal situations and cause erratic behavior that can lead to tragic events. Daniels, who has attended numerous motorcycle rallies in the past, noted that while this type of situation is scary, it is also very rare. According to Daniels, “It was probably something personal and it could have happened anywhere”.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by this horrible incident.
