Over the years, the experience has grown and evolved to incorporate more than just bikes and scenic rides through the Black Hills. Since the early days of the rally, music has emerged as one of the central themes of the rally and the legendary Sturgis Buffalo Chip Campground is one of the premier destinations to enjoy some of the great entertainment.
Now a on the bucket list of many musical acts as a venue they want to play, Sturgis’ musical entertainment is second to none. One only needs to look at the lineup for the most recent rally that finished up last week: Queensryche, Buckcherry, Pop Evil, The Cult, Black Label Society, Candlebox, Halestorm, ZZ Top, The Black Crowes, Bret Michaels, Quiet Riot, Warrant, Doobie Brothers, Kid Rock, Queens of the Stone Age, Gretchen Wilson, LA Guns, Saliva, Skid Row, Toby Keith, Shooter Jennings, KORN, Saving Abel, Vince Neil, Lita Ford, Molly Hatchet, Machine Head, Mastodon, Rob Zombie, Gary Allen, Big & Rich, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jackyl, BulletBoys, Great White, Sublime, Fuel, Lit, Alien Ant Farm, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, SevenDust, and Three Days Grace. An exhaustive list, yes, but a testament to how much performing at Sturgis means to a lot of bands and their fans.
One could say that it has almost become the modern day Woodstock with a lineup like that,  regardless, it’s not just all bikes in the Black Hills anymore…music has arrived.
See you in Sturgis 2014 – only 352 days till then!
