south dakota motorcycle accident attorney lawyer newsRuss Brown Motorcycle Attorneys®: Cactus Moser walks again after losing his leg in a motorcycle accident.

Michael Scott “Cactus” Moser is many things, a husband to famed country singer Wynonna Judd, a drummer, a motorcycle enthusiast, and now an inspiration to many everywhere.
On August 18th of last year Moser was in a South Dakota motorcycle accident which severed off part of his leg.  The motorcycle accident has understandably left Moser with a long road to recovery, yet he continuously defies the odds.
In what can only be described as a miraculous recovery, it has only taken 8 months for Moser to get back his ability to walk on his own.  Albeit it was 8 months filled with rehab sessions, wheelchairs, walkers as well as a prosthetic leg—but Moser walked for the first time recently and he did so with perfect timing!
His wife Wynonna, as some of you may know has been one of the contestants on the extremely popular TV series “Dancing with the Stars”.  Two days prior to Judd being eliminated from the competition, Moser had approached her for the first time since that fateful day last August, walking on his own.  Needless to say, Judd doesn’t feel too upset about the loss, as she now has something to keep her spirits up as she heads home to spend time with her husband.
“He went home to get his prosthetic leg (March 23rd)” said a very proud Wynonna, “He came into town the day before yesterday and he walked towards me for the first time in eight months. He’s eight months ahead of schedule. It’s been an emotional ride this week.  It freaked me out because I’ve seen him in a wheelchair and using a walker, and he just walked toward me and I was like, ‘Wow.’ I was so stunned. I saw the wreck, I saw him lose the leg,” Judd said.  As for her elimination, Wynonna said Moser was in shock. “He didn’t say anything. He just looked at me, and I’ll cry later and he’ll hold me”.
Judd credits Moser’s quick recovery to his positive attitude, saying that she has always called him “Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky” and she feels it is that attitude that allowed Moser to push through the dark times after his motorcycle accident.
It’s that happy-go-lucky attitude that helped Moser persevere.  A great lesson for all of us when faced with adversity in truly challenging times.
