As reported in a 10 News story, an Oceanside motorcyclist was killed in San Diego on March 21st, 2011 on Interstate 805 near Balboa Avenue. The driver of a speeding SUV lost control of his vehicle after sliding on the rain-slick roadway, crossed several lanes of traffic, and ultimately collided with the oncoming motorcycle. The San Diego, California, motorcyclist was thrown 75 feet by the impact, and was pronounced dead at the scene; however, the driver will not be charged, according to a California Highway Patrol (CHP) spokesperson.
