When did you start riding? I started as a kid (6 or 7) on a Honda 50cc chasing my dogs around the fields in our orchard. I graduated to my older brothers Honda 75cc and never looked back.
My Father purchased the Honda 50cc after much begging from my siblings, it was given to me when I was of the height to learn to ride. My Father himself as well as my Mother never rode. My brothers still ride to this day.

How has riding motorcycles impacted your life?

I had a heart attack a year after I purchased my first Harley Davidson motorcycle, because of the loss of strength I was unable to ride it but I couldn’t let it go. I purchased a Dyna and have been having the best time ever! I still have the first Harley Davidson I purchased, its name Big Blue. It’s a 2000 Road Glide Custom that I love dearly and am making strides in becoming able to ride it again.

What has been your biggest challenge with riding a motorcycle?

Corners!! I hate them! But I have OVERCOME them!!

Many women have problems with corners, what helped you beside practice to overcome them?

Manage my line of sight. When you’re told you will go where your eyes are looking, believe it!! If you’re looking ahead and up the road your body and bike follow naturally. And I have made sure that I have given myself plenty of training on roads with lots of bends and twists. So keep training yourself to keep your eyes on the place you want to be.

What do you like most about your model motorcycles?

My Road Glide is the best ride ever and my little Dyna is quick as the wind.

What modifications have you made?

None to the Dyna I love it just the way it is, the RG has a laundry list of things I would like to modify, so one day soon it will get a makeover.
at 5’3” Changing the shocks and lowering the front end and also having your seat customized is one of the most important modifications that can be done to help feel more confident on a bike that’s large.”

When you’re not riding motorcycles what are you other interest?

I am currently involved in a business that I am trying to get off the ground. I have been in the jewelry business for over 23 years and have decided to open a brick and mortar store to bring the savings of manufacturing these items ourselves to the customers.

What advice do you have for other women riders?

Don’t be afraid! Take a riding class, take two! Always remember you’re able to overcome anything.

How tall are you?

I’m 5’3” and shrinking!!

What is your weather like year round?

Gorgeous riding weather most all year round in California.

How is riding therapy for you?

I don’t find myself with a lot of time to ride, but it’s so wonderful when I can and I try to ride every Sunday. It gets all the cobwebs out my head and begins my week in a most awesome way.

I know a lot of us can relate to what Cyndi mentions about the Sunday ride recharge!
Get out and ride it’s good for you!
