When did you start riding a motorcycle?

I starting riding big twins in 1990

What got you involved in motorcycles and how did you start?

My husband rode and when I met him I wanted to ride my own. He taught me how to ride. He would ride on the back and teach me.

How has riding motorcycles impacted your life?

Oh man it is a thrill to ride your own bike, gives me pride, self worth and happiness. Met a bunch of chick riders that are great friends from all over Kansas.

What has been your biggest challenge with riding?

I felt there has been no challenges in my riding ability. I guess keeping up with the fashions. I am an old down to earth hippie biker chick. LOL.

What do you like most about your model motorcycle?

Its black, it rides smooth, it has a windshield, I rode for years without one.

What modifications have you made to your motorcycle?

Nothing too much, just a bigger seat.

When you’re not riding motorcycles what are you other interest?

I like to make primitive dolls and Santas. Play with my dogs. My life is pretty simple.

What advice do you have for other women motorcycle riders?

Even if you don’t want to ride your own bike, learn to ride because you never know when you have to get yourself and your man home if something was to happen. Your man might break a foot and how would you get home if not on your own bike. Let him ride bitch.

How tall are you?

5’10”.  55 years old.

What is your weather like year round?

We have the four seasons. But still manage to ride in them all.

How is riding therapy for you?

I just love to ride, it clears my head from a stressful day. I just became a widower and now it helps me to have great thoughts of when my husband and I would go on rides. I think a lot about him when I ride now.

Linda, I am so sorry for your loss. How awesome for you to share that when you are out on your bike it brings to mind great thoughts and memories of the good riding times you both shared. That’s what riding is all about. Making memories that last forever!
Ride ON,
Brenda Fox
