The federally funded safety campaign, “Look Twice, Save a Life”, was started to help reduce the number of fatal California motorcycle accidents—and based on the preliminary 2010 numbers, it has been a success. The number of fatal motorcycle involved collisions decreased by 9% and injuries decreased 8.5%! While this important motorcycle safety campaign is now coming to a close, CHP officials hope that the message will remain. Through increased awareness and education, California motorists and motorcyclists can learn to share the road safely.
