Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys® – New York Gets Set for Progressive International Motorcycle Show

As the holiday season draws ever nearer, the Progressive International Motorcycle Show is ramping up its schedule with a stop in the Big Apple at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from December 13th to 15th.

The largest city on the International Motorcycle Show tour, organisers are pulling out all the stops for New York City during the peak Christmas shopping timeframe with entertainment, information seminars and motorcycle gift ideas for everyone on your list.

Patrons to the New York event will get an opportunity to be the first to see an all new bike built by Indian Motorcycles. The Custom Chief Classic will be unveiled at the Javits Center on December 13 and will be on display at ensuing International Motorcycle Show events. What’s unique about the bike is its custom feel—built with available accessories from Indian and sporting a special paint scheme, the bike also incorporates other custom features that are sure to inspire custom bike builders everywhere. Indian will also be featuring a cutaway model of its Thunder Stroke 111 engine, showcasing the unique engineering behind the 2014 power-plant and will have selections from its 2014 apparel lineup along with special ideas for holiday gifts.

Indian didn’t stop there though… on what has been dubbed “Stars and Stripes Saturday”, December the 14th,  the iconic company is providing free admission to the show for Military personnel with valid ID as a tribute and thank you to the country’s men and women who serve in our forces. In conjunction, Indian will have on display a special “Jack Daniels Operation Ride Home” inspired motorcycle. The custom bike featuring the iconic number 7 of Jack Daniels’ fame will be auctioned off in January with proceeds benefiting U.S. Armed Forces personnel and their families.

XDL Street Jam is tagging along to provide all sorts of fun and excitement for spectators by pulling of stunts and motorcycle acrobatics only they can do. Shows are scheduled for Friday 2, 4 and 7:30pm; Saturday 11am, 1, 3 and 6:30pm; and Sunday 11am, 1 and 3pm. Be sure to check them out!

The Strider Adventure Zone is back to provide the young ones in the family with a fun riding experience on bikes specifically designed for their little frames. And for the ladies in attendance, the hundreds of vendors on hand will be sure to have cool, unique items that will be sure to showcase your individuality and specific riding style.

If becoming a better rider is something you’re interested in, there will be a number of safety tutorials going on at the “Podium”, as industry experts will discuss everything of interest for new riders and provide some tips and skills for the advanced motorcyclist.

Don’t forget to enter for your chance to win one of two Suzuki bikes up for grabs. On display and part of each show, attendees can enter to win a 2014 Suzuki Hyabusa or 2014 Suzuki GSX-R600. The lucky winners will be announced in March of 2014.

Progressive International Motorcycle Shows are great spots to interact with some two-wheeled celebrities as well. On hand in New York will be Supercross legends Ricky Carmichael and Jeff Emig who will be dropping by on the Friday at 3 and 5pm to sign autographs and do a Q&A with fans. Emig will return on the Saturday at 11:30am and 2pm for a repeat performance. That’s not all though; Scott Russell will also be present doing a World Champion Q&A at the Progressive Stage Friday at 2 and 5:30pm; Saturday at noon and 4:15pm and Sunday at 10am. To top it all off, custom bike artist Dave Perewitz and his wife, Jody will hold a celebrity Q&A throughout the weekend with times still to be announced.

A special guest scheduled for New York is Evan Favaro, who, while only 23, has made quite a name for himself in the custom bike world. The new creative director of Orange County Choppers has established a reputation of hard work with a talent for design. He has even won the Modified Street class segment of the New York J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show event with his entry the XS650. Evan will be on stage both Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm for a Q&A session.
